Week in Review
Sunday's Weekly Meeting was postpone, due to some pressing family matters. But what a Meeting we had on Monday. Not so Bright (raining) and early morning (7am) we met a Bukit Gombak MRT, jumped in Chang Liang's Car and Headed to the nearby park: Bukit Batok Town Park for our weekly session.
The start of the meeting as usual, brought much perspective to my life. The sharing of CL was touching and brought heartfelt inspiration for my own family life. Creating a Day just to be with family is important and delightful. How many of us, dread spending quality time with our folks and siblings. Ti's sad it has to be that way with some.
Kelveen on the other hand showed how fragile we hold our achievements of the week. Dude, you had an incredible week and made significant trailblazing in that week with work and mom. So shut your face. My own sharing was about how hard it is to quit smoking and my own struggles in which i got tremendous feedback and support.
However, i did have massive progress in Web Publishing and my relationship with Grandma. What is an Activist without Love and Support from Family, Grandparents and friends. The week had it's up and downs as well as milestones anchored firmly to this life i am now choosing and creating. Smoke Free for two consecutive days, certain client's progress and feedback has been invaluable and powerful. I guess with this new found awareness, recycling and keeping my waste down has also improved. This really takes conscious deliberation on what i purchase, use and keep. (Excellence doth lives in details)
After Sharing we had a short feedback session on the Pathway Program. Issues and concerns were raised about it's structure and ease of personal integration. The chief example being, Activist Research and Personal study in which all 3 of us struggle to apply, so we collectively decided to leave it for the time being. I personally elaborated on the extent of the purpose, and that as a new program, it being complex and sophisticated is expected. But with time and patience it will be simplified and streamlined.
Till then we shall plow on.
We added a few more structural practices besides our morning routines we, pledged to awake every morning at 6am. This is to make full use of our day and develop a habit, in which the experts call power mornings to establish a routine of discipline and rigor. A highly effective habit the successful elite employ. (in fact they wake at 5am)
Our plantations of Activism has been properly grounded, all of which can be found on our Pathway Source Google Group. Click here if you want to more info. The progress has been stunning, but with due effort and dedication to improve our lives. So no change there, however the support needed to progress even further was called into question. Daily declarations and support methods were put in place. This week is a trial run of that. We will discuss more in the next meeting.
Next came a Spiral Inquiry into the meaning of Integrity.
What is Means?
What it is?
Why is it important if not at all?
Do Activist embody integrity?
Like all philosophical discourse, more questions were dug up instead of answers. It had an overall empowering effect, understanding the distinctions and nuances of this seemingly straightforward word. It turned out to be highly ambiguous term and it moved dialog into an unfounded and profoundly welcome discussion in where Kelv, shared about Integrity being in sync with Heart, Body, Soul, Universe and Situations. Intergrity comes from the word integer - meaning singular or one.
Chang Liang (CL) asked a pertinent question which moved the discussion to a whole other level.
Is Integrity innate?
That lead us to understand what makes up principles, virtues and values - rocking our belief systems. I remember a few minutes of silence in deliberation. (My personal favourite moment of a philosophical discussion) We will record the next discussion and create a podcast for those who are interested and keen on joining the Inquiry.
That brought us to a close and to the next most exciting phase. The setting up of the next meeting. Since all Three of us has organized the meetings individually, we decided to have a major meeting once a month. This coming Saturday to Sunday, you will find us in Ubin camping. All eyes sparkled at the prospect of living in nature for at least 24 hours. So intense questions about itinerary and program was called and developed.
This aspect was designed by myself, as a precursor to Pathway's GroundZero (Initiation into the program) workshop. I figured we needed to create a scenario for experiencing what is like to be an activist in the most trying setting. I know Camping at Ubin is not the likeliest of a grueling and powerful experience, however - it's a start and it is the place of the last successful activist campaign in Singapore of recent history.

Stand by for more updates on the first Pathway Source Camping trip.
Embodying our Personal plantations (Personal goals: Mind, Body, Material and Connection) by growing a plant of our choice was proposed from me, was met by a resounding,
YES!!! Awesome!!!
So we went down to a Plant Nursery next to Ngee Ann Poly (can't remember the name of the place) to purchase our, plant seeds, pots and soil.
These are the Pictures of us and our seed packets.
This is Mine... Chili Plant.
Kelv's Mexican Sunflower.
Cl's Lupin
We are now proud owners of Plants and are novice gardeners. There will be many funny stories and with fingers crossed no tragedies. This aspect will be implemented and we are really excited about it. A practice in devotion, nurturing and patience is essential in our endeavours as Activist.
So with that i end this lengthy update, with a quote
"Break away from tyranny of custom, tradition, conventionality, and the opinions of others, until you succeed in walking lonely and erect against men" ~ James Allen
