A beautiful song by a Jamacian Artist called Gyptian.

Enjoy

Go back to sleep.

I've been a big fan of "A Perfect Circle" and "Tool" every since i can remember. Lyrics by James Kenan Maynard has always sought to poetically arouse the listener from an unconscious slumber. The Song "Counting Bodies like Sheep to the rhythm of the War Drums." is no exception. In the song one, cannot help but wonder about the ignorance and pessimism of war.

He tries to patronize the listener into going back to sleep, while we count bodies like sheep...

So either go back to sleep or do something.

The Revolution will not be Televised

Some food for thought.

Gil Scott-Heron is an American poet, musician and author known for his powerul work in the late 60's and early 70's as a spoken word performer.

Not many of them are around or heard of anymore. I'm thinking we might explore this as an avenue to raise awareness and action for our initiatives...

Pathway Song of the Week

Who love's GreenDay?

I DO!!!!

They've been rocking out with punk messages for more then a decade and have inspired countless rallies and charity initiatives.

The song: American Idiot is no exception.
An anthem aimed at the "Subliminal Mind Fucked Americans" who just watch TV and follow the
status quo, whilst being exploited and bombarded with nationalist propaganda.

But it's not just an American Problem is it? Aren't we part of this media controlled populous?
So make up your own mind.

American Idiot
By GreenDay.

Activist Music Video of the Week

One of my favourite bands, System of a Down has been proactive in the Activist front since it's inception. Serj Tankian (Band's Frontman) has brought much attention to many injustices using music and his lyrics to help us open our eyes to the movement. (Check out his personal site)

The video shows footage of the largest Global Anti-war protest march ever, on the 13th of February 2003. (I wish i knew, i would have marched along)

Enjoy.
